On Tuesday February 24th CES Alguazas Vega Media held its "I Carrera Solidaria", organized by the secondary school in collaboration with the Department of Sports and the local police of the municipality.
With the slogan "Kilokilómetros of illusion", this athletic event brought together more than 400 students and divided into two categories, one sub-15 and another absolute.
The main objective of the test was to collect food for the local organization of "Caritas Parish", whereby each participant donated a kilo of food to this worthy cause.
The race started from the door of the educational center, with a distance of 2220 meters which ran through the streets of the Barrio del Carmen to finish in the Plaza President Adolfo Suarez, just outside the City alguaceño.
There the prizes to the top three finishers in each event, in a ceremony attended by Mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, President of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia (FAMU), Juan Molina, surrendered and Councillor for Sports, Joaquín López.
In this installment of awards to the best also attended the councilors of Education, Isabel Zamora, and Equality, María Dolores Hernández.
"This race is a clear example of solidarity, harmony and healthy competition, in a superbly organized and highly successful test participation," said the Councillor for Sports alguaceño.
"The circuit and morning hour workday became a challenge this race, saved outstandingly thanks to the more than 40 volunteers contributed by the center and the Sports Council and the invaluable assistance of the local police," says Lopez .
