The artist Manuel Sánchez won the "Contest VIII Air Painting" organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Alguazas.
With the theme "Alguazas on Palm Sunday", this event was held on Sunday March 29th delivering a total of 2,300 euros in prize money.
Sanchez took a prize of 700 euros and his work becomes the property of the City, the paint used for the cover of the next edition of the festivity.
With technical and free and open to over 18 style, it was required that in his paintings painters show any element of the town.
Participants had all morning to make their works, which were distributed throughout the town.
Since mid afternoon unveiled the jury, which was composed by the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Zamora, with a degree in Fine Arts and professor Incarnation Palazón, artists Juan Espallardo and Pascual Torregrosa, and the head of the Municipal Library Carolina Matencio.
"The morning was splendid with colorful robes of the Hebrews who went in procession and the palettes of painters who came from different parts of Spain," said the mayor.
In addition to the prize to the winner, others were handed a closing ceremony of this event which was chaired by the local mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and Councillor for Culture.
Sponsored by local company "Marvimundo" awards and the local council of 500 euros each went to Gonzalo Romero himself and Rafael Terrés.
Meanwhile, both sponsored by merchants of the town and the local company "Cash Arama" for an amount of EUR 300 awards each-were taken Blai Thomas and Francisco Moreno.
