Alguazas City Council has begun the redevelopment of the Municipal Cemetery, allowing further construction of 58 cemeteries and 30 niches through a municipal investment of 106,000 euros.
"The evolution of the population and increasing the rate of population over 65 years has led in recent years an increasing demand for land for cemeteries could not be satisfied by lack space," explains alguaceño Town Planning, Environment and Personal, Javier Gambín.
Among the works being carried out include the demolition and raised from the driveway from the street of the Resurrection and the existing pavement and the demolition of an existing wall cloth attached to the cemetery to connect to the expansion works, installation of irrigation networks and drainage, landscaping elements and street furniture
"With these expansion works given answer all reservation requests that were in the town and still be lots available for future needs," said Gambín.
