Alguazas City Council has signed an agreement regarding teleassistance with the Regional Committee of Red Cross.
The event took place on July 10, and it was attended by the Mayor of Alguazas, Blas Angel Ruipérez Peñalver, Councillor for Social Services, Consuelo Aráez Assisi and the President of the Regional Committee of Red Cross, Moon Aurelio Maldonado.
Teleassistance service is aimed at the elderly, sick and / or disabled people who spend most of the time without company.
In our town, 51 users currently enjoy this service, which will add five users in the near future.
The signing of this new agreement allows for the maintenance of this essential for the welfare of the residents of Alguazas, while entail a reduction of 40% of spending from the previous agreement signed by the City service.
"The City Council has signed an agreement in which the Telecare service quality and also achieved considerable savings in spending is maintained, allowing us to further deepen our activities in the social field," explains Councillor for Social Services Consuelo Aráez Assisi.
