Last December, work began to expand the Secondary School "Villa de Alguazas", that will equip the center of four multi-purpose rooms with an area of 472 m².
The works will build two plants on a module which is currently attached canteen, the adaptation of other spaces in the drawing and technology classrooms and the complete renovation of the entire perimeter fence of the institute.
The extension will cover the provision of tuition in future years by increasing the school population and free spaces which are currently being used as classrooms.
The total budget for these projects amount to almost € 488,000 and will be fully funded by the Ministry of Education of the Autonomous Region of Murcia.
Alguazas City Council anticipated that the new facilities IES Villa de Alguazas in operation at the beginning of the school year 2009/2010.
