The Youth Council has launched the Brek-Dance workshop for young people age 13 and older, free for participants.
The Break-Dance is an urban dance style that is part of the movement of Hip Hop culture, which emerged in the African American neighborhoods like the Bronx of New York in early 1970.
This workshop is contained within the program of activities of the Youth Council for the first quarter, with a total duration of ten hours, being of initiation.
Classes will be held at the offices of the municipal sports hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Thursday 22 January at 17:00 hours to 19:00 pm, however, due to the large demand created by youth, the Youth Council has been forced to split the class that was initially expected in two to accommodate all the children enrolled.
