In addition, residents claimed the right to have more information about the location of the plant, so far right that has completely ignored Consistory.
The platform said "we are not against the facility, which we consider necessary, but we refuse categorically to the location approved by the City of Alguazas.
We demand a change of location that is furthest away from our homes, the school, the football field, in general, in our neighborhood.
We propose to locate elsewhere as may be the Soto de la Virgen or existing impoundment ponds. "
Spreading the bad location of the new treatment plant to all the people of Alguazas is the target platform has marked this neighborhood, since the problems arising from the treatment plant (odors, mosquitoes, risk of toxic releases, etc..) Not only affect the Barrio del Carmen, but the rest of Alguazas, and proximity to other areas like Florida, Las Torres de Cotillas.
Moreover, the spokesman for the municipal socialist Ruipérez Angel Blas, summed up the general feeling of the neighbors calling the new wastewater treatment plant is built away from the Barrio del Carmen.
Also, remember the location given by the PSOE and reflected in the PGO, the Soto de la Virgen or on land where sewage is present, at least 2000 meters away from the population.
