Major cultural center of Alguazas held last Saturday 28 the election of the new board.
Ángel Sarabia has been president for the past fourteen years, and voluntarily chose not to stand again for re-election, leaving office amid applause, tears and emotional recognition.
"It continued in office to make way for young people," said Sarabia.
The new president, Custodio Aguilera, addressed the hundreds of members who attended the event, promising to listen and meet the demands of all.
"Let's see if we are continuing on how to work the previous board, while we introduce new proposals," said Aguilera.
Voting took place by show of hands, as it was only one candidate that was presented to the election.
In addition, the local mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, presented the outgoing president of a picture framing the shield of the town.
"The Town Hall has always had a soft spot with this group as well as organized and participated in the activities of the municipality," said the mayor.
