The works of the Plaza Santo Domingo in the hamlet of Huerta Above are coming to an end after a month of work.
The renovation has come at a cost of 40,000 euros and consisted in putting a paving stone design, renovation of the drinking water source, the implementation of all the furniture, the installation of a fountain and the creation of a padded play area and fencing continued safety for children.
"The completion of this work is an added personal satisfaction, since my early childhood, enjoyed in this part of town," said Francisco Javier Gambín, Town Planning.
The works under the supplementary scheme of POS 2008 and are funded 90% by the Ministry of the Presidency of the CARM and the remaining 10% by the City of Alguazas.
Furthermore, to be covered with a natural stone plinth in the two walls that frame the Plaza (those of a private house and the Civic Center), was recorded with white paving the name of the plaza and will be sided with new tile the small stone wall around the side of the plaza.
On the other hand, the City of Alguazas will locate a buried container area near the new plaza, so that the top Huerta will join those already on the main squares of the town.
