The Department of Culture of the City of Alguazas has organized a seminar called 'The literary game of La Oca', framed in the celebrations of World Book Day, where students of two schools in the municipality, Monte Anaor and Our Lady of Mount Caramel played on a giant chessboard as reply to the questions about a selected book.
The students have attended the local municipal library after reading the books selected by their teachers as to advance through the game boxes, they must correctly answer several questions.
The school has chosen Monte Anaor classics of our literature for answers, like Don Quixote or The Song of my Cid, and Our Lady of Mount Caramel center has opted for teaching playing traditional tales such as The Steadfast Tin Soldier and The Little Mermaid.
With this initiative the council aims to bring reading to the youngest in a nice and simple.
"We need to teach future generations that a book can teach at the same time it gives us fun.
It is a matter of having to apply imagination and simple techniques for reading entertainment. "
Says the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Zamora.
At the end of 'the game' has been handed medals to the champions and runners-up game.
