The Department of Culture of the City of Alguazas presented to winners of essay competition II 'Fireplaces Watchers' within the programmed events on the occasion of World Book Day.
The event was chaired by the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Zamora, who applauded the participation and the level shown in the contest.
"The four winning works are of an excellent standard.
I hope that next year the winners attend to other literary works of the same level, "he said.
This competition does more than twenty years in the municipality, although for only two to be appointed as' chimneys Watchers. "
Notably, the jury was composed of professors of literature of IES Villa de Vega CES Alguazas and Media, in addition to the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Zamora.
The awards consisted of 500 euros for first prize and two hundred of the latter.
The winners were: 'Bienve gold fingers' by Julia R.
Robles (1st place) and 'Luna de soledad', Jesus de la Ossa (2 nd prize).
In poetry, "" Poetic Elegy ', de Isabel Tornel (1st place) and' cold Sentinels' by Katy Vine, Totana (2 nd prize).
