Alguazas will from next September with a new Center for Child Care, which completes the educational offer of the municipality in the age group of 0-3 years.
Work began in June, are at full capacity and allow the construction of a new building that will house two classrooms for children from 0 years, two classrooms for children from 1 year, two bedrooms, toilets, changing tables, toilets carers locker rooms, areas for prams and spaces in an area of 300 sq meters.
The construction of the CAI will make an investment of over € 800,000, of which € 500,000 will be provided by the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration CARM to finance the construction of the building.
The equipment, which amounts to € 111,630, will be borne by 75% for counseling.
For its part, the City of Alguazas contribute 25% of the remaining equipment, € 27,907 and the land, valued at almost € 200,000.
The new Center for Child Care will be framed within the precincts of the Reina Sofia Infant School, located in Calle Ramón y Cajal, so Alguazas City Council has not had to provide land for municipal facilities.
This center will showcase a wide flexible hours between 8 am and five pm, which will serve children from four months to two years, encouraging attention to the development of the child, the while supporting families to reconcile work and family life.
The Department of Education of the City of Alguazas expressed his satisfaction to see how all the demand for education of children between 0 and 3 years of the town square has been granted by the construction of the new CAI.
Thus, 125 children under that age, of which 36 belong to the new center will be staffed both in Kindergarten Reina Sofía and the new CAI.
Expansion of the Infant School Reina Sofia.
The Department of Education of the City of Alguazas invest some € 300,000, € 200,000 of them subsidized by the Ministry of Education of the CARM, to remodel the Infant School Reina Sofia.
Specifically, this summer will undertake the reform and expansion of kitchen and dining center to accommodate to the demand generated by the CAI.
For the next course will take the complete reconstruction of the classes and the creation of two new classrooms.
