The Plenary Hall of the City of Alguazas has hosted the closing of the Vocational Training Course 2009, educational program sponsored by the Department of Employment and Training Hon.
Alguazas City Council and funded by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment with 48,000 €.
This course, which lasted more than seven months, has been designed for students aged between 16 and 21 who have not obtained a Diploma in Secondary Education (ESO) seeking a clear objective: to provide basic and vocational training for incorporation working life.
Some of the studies are conducted at Workplaces thereby to bring the reality of the job market and try to motivate students in their integration.
Alguazas is provided in the form of Workshop Professional with the profile of Auxiliary Operations and Construction Metal Welding and engineered plastics.
The program consists of two types of modules: general modules and specific modules for welding, taught by two technicians Alguazas City Council.
Different career opportunities that students get at the end of this course are basically continuing further studies to obtain a Certificate of ESO or perform intermediate vocational training and / or join the workforce.
Students have done internships in companies in the municipality related to the metal sector.
Training in the workplace has enabled many of these companies know about potential employees for future recruitment.
In fact, this year some of the students who have completed internships will be hired by the partner company.
The great interest generated by the implementation of this course has resulted in the maximum occupation number of students (15), staff being on the waiting list that may make the new academic year 2009/2010.
This new program will begin soon keeping a schedule and a similar duration to that of academic centers.
