The Plenary Hall Alguazas City Council has hosted a briefing, given by medical officers of the Health Center on Influenza A.
The event was attended by the mayor of Alguazas, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, the councilors of Education and Social Services, Isabel Zamora and Dori Bermudez, members of the educational community as well as other groups of municipalities and municipal technicians.
The rapidly emerging concern about this new virus, has caused a great demand for information from those employees who carry out their work to a considerable number of people.
How to avoid infection, the high rate of spread or just what to do in a case of this disease, generate many questions that can be confusing to the public.
For this reason, both the City Council as the responsible Alguazas Health Center physicians agreed on the idea of correct information about this strain of flu.
Dr. Abel Novoa explained to those present the main features of the disease, with special emphasis on the high rate of infection and hygiene measures.
However, Dr. Novoa wanted to reassure those present data showing how this new flu is less virulent than the seasonal flu, as is shown by the few deaths occurred during the austral winter.
Upon completion of the exhibition, attendees were able to resolve your concerns with the doctors questions Assisi Manuel Vicente, Manuel Novoa García Campos and Abel Jurado.
Both parties agreed on the idea of repeating this type of information events to expand the talks to all areas of the municipality.
