The work to bury three islands Alguazas container has already begun.
Since last Wednesday, several workers working in the underground work of the new meters and is expected that the works are finished by the end of October.
Two of the islands will be located in the center of Alguazas, one in Calle Reyes Católicos and the second in the main street confrontation with Ctra De Las Torres de Cotillas.
The third island of containers will be in the Plaza de Santo Domingo de la Huerta de Arriba.
All four containers are islands, two of organic waste, a container and a cardboard and paper.
The Town Planning and Environment Alguazas, Francisco Javier Gambín, explained that this time will be burying containers points more problems it caused to the residents.
"In addition to burying the containers we have removed architectural barriers and improved the visual appearance of streets and places where these containers have been installed," said the mayor alguaceño.
These works are funded 100% by the Directorate General of Planifiación, Assessment and Environmental Control under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water of CARM and have a budget of 65,000 euros maximum bid.
With these, Alguazas now has seven islands of underground containers.
