The Plenary Hall of the City of Alguazas yesterday became a movie theater to project the two shorts that have been students who have participated in the second Alguazas Cinematography Workshop.
The Film Workshop was organized by the Youth Council of Alguazas and funded by the Youth Institute of the Region of Murcia.
2009 was the second consecutive year in which this course has been conducted in the municipality and it has assisted 15 young people aged between 16 and 19.
The workshop began with lectures in which the kids learned the basics of film and then had to translate what they learned in a short in that they were writers, actors and cameras.
The theme of the two shorts, which have been recorded, has been the same, as it's own Youth Council responsible for choosing it.
In 2008, short focused on drug prevention and violence this year has been the protagonist gender.
Youth Councillor Alguazas, Alicia Parejo, explained the reason for the choice of these topics.
"These young people aware of the major social problems affecting society today."
After the screening of the shorts, Alicia Parejo students were given the course a DVD with two movies, released by the Department of Youth Alguazas.
