The two towns of Alguazas soon have a new connection.
Since last week the panoramic walkway, which links the Barrio del Carmen and the resort center and is located on the railway bridge on Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio, but is not currently open to pedestrian traffic for the works continue in this area.

The initial draft of this bridge had to be modified to suit the requirements demanded ADIF.

Because these changes have had to recalculate the metal structure of the bridge to strengthen it, because now only supported at its ends having a total length of 40 meters.
Similarly, in the pavement of the bridge has replaced the sheet metal slip contained in principle, by a forged steel decking that will support the final placement of paving the entire route.
The performance also includes the renovation and upgrading of public lighting, the addition of ornamental lighting and improvement of the pavement.
Moreover, to facilitate access to pedestrians, the sidewalks will be extended until it meets with the School Street and make available a clearly marked crosswalk across from the old miller's wife.
Similarly at the other end of the track is signaled another zebra crossing to cross the road from Ceuta and build a paved sidewalk on the other side of that road to its junction with Avenida America.
Finally, install a protective fence between the newly conditioned Casica Road and railroad tracks.
All these improvements will make this pathway in the main artery connecting the two main towns of the township.
However, this road is traveled daily by students of IES Villa de Alguazas and those who go to the pool and sports facilities.
The amount of these works will not endanger the municipal coffers since almost 600,000 euros to this action which amounts shall be financed by the Ministry of Public Works in the Region of Murcia and ADIF.
