Alguazas City Council will carry out the work on improving water supply throughout the urban core of the hamlet alguaceña of The Spot.
This has been approved at an extraordinary plenary session, held on 9 November, the group votes and popular votes against the socialist group.
Phase I includes the renovation of water mains along the road from the Court to the town of El Paraje.
Alguazas Mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, explained that in summer 2008 he and the Town Planning, Francisco Javier Gambín, met with residents and landowners of The Spot and pledged to promote the provision of services the urban area and thus promote their development.
This work is a first phase of the Infrastructure Plan that will need to undertake in the area of The Spot to get your full urban development.
Moreover, its implementation will help to improve service quality drinking water to urban center of the hamlet today.
The total construction cost amounts to more than 146,000 euros, of which the Autonomous Community finances 70%, thanks to an agreement with the City to perform work of the Regional Economic Revitalization, residents contribute 27% and City Hall, 3%.
In this way the owners have to pay 46,500 euros to all, equivalent to 9 cents per square meter.
The City Council considered that this is the best solution for both the municipal coffers, which would not be depleted, and for the neighbors, instead of paying 100% of works will face only 27% of them .
