On 17 November was an important day in Alguazas, as has been the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs Alguazas.

Following several meetings between the council of Commerce, Javier Gambia and traders in proposing the creation of an association of local merchants, vendors have willingly accepted the proposal of the City and have decided to create it.
In the last meeting between the two, who has also attended the owner of Consumer Affairs, Silvia Ruiz and the head of Public Safety, Fernando Almagro, attended the meeting in the Casa de la Cultura, where traders have signed certificate of incorporation and has approved the statutes of the association.
In addition, there has been the choice of the components of the policy that is composed of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and four members.
Maria Carmen Gomez, Pedro Sanchez, Antonia Ruiz, Eloisa López, Belén Vicente, José Luis López, Rubén Martínez and Ana Bravo have been chosen to hold these positions.
As proof of this commitment the local Consistory, the organization will at all times with the help of three experts of the council, to advise and resolve any doubts that may arise.
Those responsible for Trade and Consumer Affairs have reached out and have been predisposed to help from their positions as far as possible and thus promote local trade association.
This organization was founded with the aim of promoting consumption in the shops in town, also aims to secure Alguazas customers, as well as attract future customers of neighboring localities.
In the meeting, reported the advantages to creating such an organization for its members, including the ability to access various support and grants from the Autonomous Community, to make retraining and training, and contribute to the stimulation of trade, to have an image of unity associated with defend the government, thus exerting more pressure.
The City Council have made different proposals, which would aim to improve their situation.
One of these suggestions has been the possibility of creating a business directory on the web page of the local consistory, in which each trading partner could include information on its establishment, the products offered, and includes a link in City Council Website to the website of the association.
It has also decided to hold a contest of ideas for creating a logo for the association and the creation of a loyalty card, which would have significant benefits for residents of the municipality which should do to her.
