Coinciding with the feast of St. Cecilia, patron saint of musicians, 22 November, the Old Tower is hosting an exhibition themed musical 'Plastic Music', included in the program 'The color of music. "
Alguazas Mayor, José Antonio Fernández LLadó, and the Councillor of Culture, Isabel Zamora, inaugurated the exhibition, with which begins the Christmas programming.
The ceremony, also attended, Javier Lorente, coordinator of the sample, who highlighted the close relationship that has always existed between music and painting.
In the exhibition you can see different pictures, which have been made by students of the School of Arts 'Artemisia', in which each artist has conveyed his personal view of music through the brush.
After visiting the exhibition, attendees were able to enjoy an instrumental chamber concert, which has offered the duo Meng.
The exhibition will remain in the exhibition hall of the Old Tower until next January 10, 2010 and will be open from Friday to Sunday from 15:30 to 18:30 and Sunday mornings from 11:00 to 13 : 00 hours.
This is not the only activity included in the program but on 29th November, The Imperial Harmonie concert will offer music in the Viennese court of Emperor Joseph II in the auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura.
