On the occasion of International Children's Day, held on 20 November, the College of Mount Anaor Alguazas, has participated in a joint fundraising race for the NGO 'Save the Children. "
In total, over 500 students at the school joined the sport in which also participated, some teachers and parent volunteers.
Each participant has sought his own sponsor, who has paid an amount of money based on the returns that each student has a circuit located around the Municipal Sports Pavilion.
Through this initiative, the College of Mount Anaor Alguazas collected during this week a significant amount of money to be sent to the NGO 'Save the Children' Aid Programs for Children in Ivory Coast.
'Save the Children' is a non-profit organization that was born in 1919 and is present in 29 countries to defend the rights of the child.
In Spain, this organization was founded 18 years ago and now they're working on programs to support children both Spanish and other parts of the world.
The director of the College of Mount Anaor Alguazas, Isidro Cantu, explained that this is the first year that the center participates in this activity but due to its success, they hope to repeat in future courses.
