In an era in which the figure of the teacher is undervalued, the Department of Education Alguazas City Council has recognized the work of these teachers, now retired, who have been a benchmark in education in the municipality.
The teachers honored were: Maria Soledad Perez Campillo, Alvadalejo Angel Hernandez, Joaquin Hernandez Yelo, Juan Antonio Sandoval García, Margarita Alfonso Verdú, José Miguel Matencio Orts, Conchita Manzanera Gayon, Josefa Vicente Llor, Encarna García Egea, Magdalena Sword Simon, Josefina Gadea Lopez, Dolores Hernández Serna and Antonio Matencio Orts.
By a simple ceremony held at the House of Culture of the town, the Hall has wanted to pay tribute to thirteen teachers, in an era that lacked resources and through hard work and dedication were able to instill a set of values Alguazas in students.
An education initiative that wanted to "acknowledge the work done towards the education of teachers, they have had on the town," said Zamora.
The local mayor, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, stressed the merit of these teachers who have achieved "a person is able to be happy, be free to choose what you do in your life, something that has been possible" through training in values: values such as respect for the teacher, effort, camaraderie, responsibility, "said Lladó.
The mayor of the municipality, the Councillor for Education, who presided at the table next to the heads of primary schools in the municipality of Monte Anaor Cantero Isidro and Josefina antero of Nuestra Señora Del Carmen.
The Youth council members Alicia Parejo, and Equality, Dori Bermudez also attended the ceremony.
After delivery of an award to each of the honorees, the coral molinense Hims Mola has offered a brief concert for the participants in which others have interpreted a poem by Antonio Machado and a carol.
