Christmas has arrived and with it comes also the Bethlehem Municipal, located in the arcades of the City of Alguazas.
This year, more than 70 figures that comprise this Bethlehem, whose scenes have been recreated by the artisan of Alguazas Nativity scenes, Senen Dolera Candel.
The pastor of Alguazas, Don Carlos Vicente Molina Lopez, has been in charge of blessing the Bethlehem Municipal, whose inauguration was presided by the mayor of Alguazas, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, and the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Zamora.
The opening ceremony of this Bethlehem, has been relieved by the rondalla of the rock 'El Molino', who has sung the traditional Aguilas Murcia. "
With 22 square meters, the Bethlehem Alguazas is divided into two parts.
In one of them represents the Nativity, Annunciation to the Shepherds, Wise Men and the Inn, while the other part, which takes place in the desert, representing the Flight into Eguipto and Herod's Massacre.
Senen Dolera, the architect of the Bethlehem, explained that all the decoration is made from native plants Alguazas.
He has also pointed out that the Bethlehem scenes are lit and, moreover, has recreated a flowing river.
This craftsman alguaceño won first prize in the Nativity of Alguazas 2002 and has been selected in the New Talent Competition XTRAversus CajaMurcia Foundation 2009.
