Aware of the situation they are experiencing the earthquake-affected Haiti, the two groups within the municipal corporation have sympathized with the Haitians.
In the last plenary session, the political groups have requested the City donate the annual allocation of budget for earthquake victims in Haiti.
The amount will be transferred to the local NGO "Friends of Guatemala", which will be responsible for getting it to Haiti.
Indeed, this Sunday, January 31, the association has organized a solidarity dinner to raise funds for those affected by the earthquake.
In total, the grant money amounts to € 3,906.58, for 300 euros, given to each councilor alguaceño Consist.
Of the nearly 4,000 euros donated, 2,100 are provided by the municipal People's Party group, while that disperses the 1,800 remaining socialist municipal group.
