Alguazas is turning to the people of Haiti and is doing in different ways, but all with the same goal: to help overcome the tragedy of Haitians who have lived in the last month.
The last show of solidarity of the people of Alguazas has come this weekend by holding a charity dinner organized by the Friends of Guatemala.
Alguaceños 140, among whom was the mayor of Alguazas, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, the Councillor of Social Services, Dori Bermudez, local authority members, representatives of various associations of the municipality and Alguazas citizens attended this food in which won 10 euros each diner.
In addition, many shops and establishments that donated gifts Alguazas after lunch have been drawn in a charity raffle.
The result of this raffle and the food has been that the Association of Friends of Guatemala has raised, with this action, 3,600 euros for Haiti.
This money must be added the 3,900 euros last week donated to this charity Alguazas municipal groups to help victims of Haiti, which collected the number now amounts to 7,500 euros.
The Chair of the Association of Friends of Guatemala, Juan Antonio Pinar, has ensured that this figure will increase as they still have not made a count of the tins that were deposited on the premises of the municipality, and has not been counted the money that alguaceños have entered the account number that this association opened for this purpose.
