The youth handball team from IES Villa de Alguazas has closed its participation in the School Sports Regional Championship with a creditable second place.
In the final, which was played in the Urban Sports Hall of Cartagena, the alguaceños have been defeated by 20 goals to 26 against IES Villa de Abarán.
After the dispute the match, the athletes attended a lunch and received his trophy at a ceremony chaired by the Head of Sport of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Eduardo Segarra.
The day was completed with a visit to the port city that had as main stop Teatro Romano Cartagena Castle
To reach the final students of the IES Villa de Alguazas have had to beat the Sewer Alcántara IES, inter-phase, and the ESC Jesus Maria de Murcia and IES Infanta Elena of Jumilla in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
