A group of forty pilgrims belonging to the Mountaineering Club in Murcia have been received by the Mayor of Alguazas, José Antonio Fernández Lladó.
During the meeting, Lladó been interested in how it has been the stage to reach the town, which so happens to end the third period and start the fourth, the Way of the Apostle, which leads to Caravaca de la Cruz.
The Consistory has wanted to give to the pilgrims and made them in a series of books and educational materials that will help them better understand the location of the Vega del Segura.
The mayor has taken the opportunity to invite hikers returning to town, where they will be welcomed by neighbors and with peace of mind to visit the various monuments such as the Old Tower and the Church of San Onofre.
Result of an agreement signed with the city of Caravaca, the Consistory alguaceño is offering accommodation to those pilgrims who request it.
Moreover, the work being done has been recognized with an award Tomir, which each year gives the city the Northwest.
So far this year, four pilgrims have passed through the town on a pilgrimage to the holy city of Caravaca de la Cruz.
