Among the events organized by the Culture Department of the City of Alguazas to celebrate the April 23 World Book Day, various activities were organized during this month.
One of the events planned is a poetry that has taken place in the hall of the House of Culture and has attended by the mayor of the town, José Antonio Fernández Lladó, the councilman of Culture Isabel Zamora, and the councilman of Youth, Alicia Parejo.
The show has been undertaken by local poet, Joaquín Piqueras, who has read some of the poems collected in three books published so far.
In addition, Piqueras took the opportunity to read another series of poems, which will soon see the light.
Has published three books Piqueras 'Anthology of confusion', 'Guide to the Perfect Castaway' and 'Thomas false'.
Recently, it has been the recipient of National Poetry Prize XXXIX Antonio González de Lama with his poems 'The hell of Orpheus'.
Piqueras has shown emotion, and that was the first time, which has offered a recital of these features in his hometown and does not rule out that more often.
During his speech the Councillor for Culture, Isabel Zamora, thanked Piqueras chose his hometown to give this show and he has reached out for future work together.
It has also highlighted the excellent job being done, one of the best ambassadors you can count on the town.
At the end of the concert, the mayor of the municipality has been delivered to a figure Piqueras as a tribute and thank you for choosing Alguazas for this recital.
