This year marks the centenary of the birth of poet and playwright Miguel Hernández and the Department of Culture Alguazas wanted to celebrate with students.
Therefore, it has organized a tribute to the writer that has taken place in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
Participated in this tribute the students of 2 nd and 3 rd cycle primary schools Monte Anaor and Our Lady of Carmen de Alguazas, who have begun the day by several murals whose main theme was the life and work of the writer.
Following this activity, the students have continued their tribute to Miguel Hernández reciting poetry writer major oriolano and reading his biography.
And finally the students were singing the poem by Miguel Hernández 'For Freedom'.
This tribute is part of the activities that the Department of Culture Alguazas scheduled to celebrate World Book Day.
Some activities are still underway and that the next Friday morning will be a storyteller in the House of Culture Alguazas and Friday at nine o'clock at night, the hall of the House of Culture will host the awards of the literary contest "Fireplaces Watchers 'and the representation of the play' Willingness to fight 'in charge of the theater group' Friends of the Tower."
